These are the rules for using stickyarchive.com. They are short because the site is simple. By writing a note, hearting one, or starting a wall, you agree to them.

What the site is

A public, permanent archive of short notes written by anyone. Notes are reviewed before they appear. Once a note is on the wall it stays there. Think before you post; the 15-minute edit window after posting is your chance to change your mind.

What you can write

Genuine short human notes: thoughts, memories, questions, kindness, humour, sadness, in any language. Notes are rejected when they contain advertising or promotion, links or contact details, cryptocurrency or trading talk, political campaigning, hate or harassment, sexual content, private information about other people, threats, or gibberish. The keeper may also hide any note that does not fit the spirit of the wall.

Notes posted only to your own wall, and private notes, are not reviewed. Your wall carries your name, so what is on it is your responsibility: the rules above still apply, visitors can report a note, and the keeper can hide a note or a whole wall that breaks them. Do not store anything unlawful, and do not use the drawer to keep other people's private information.

Your notes

You keep the rights to what you write. By posting you give the site a permanent, worldwide licence to show your note on the wall, in the archive, on walls it is pinned to, in previews when links are shared, and in translated form. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.

Walls and sign-in

A wall is optional and needs a Google sign-in. Pick a wall name and address that is yours to use; impersonating a person, brand or the site itself is not allowed, and such walls are removed. Old addresses keep redirecting after a rename and are not given to anyone else.

The first 100 walls carry a VIP stamp. It marks that you were early. It comes with no other promise, and future perks may be added at the keeper's discretion.

Fair use of the site

Do not flood the wall, automate posting or hearting, scrape the site at a rate that harms it, or try to get around the review. Reports are for notes that break these rules, not for notes you disagree with.

No guarantees

The site is offered as it is, free of charge, by one person. It may be unavailable, change, or in the worst case shut down. Reasonable effort goes into keeping the archive, but permanence is a promise of intent, not a legal guarantee. To the extent the law allows, the keeper is not liable for losses arising from use of the site.

Privacy

What the site stores and how to get it removed is on the Privacy page.
